feist: mettle tour

tarrytown music hall, openned in 1885
so when i heard feist was going out on a tiny solo acoustic tour, i forked over duckets for this one. even trekked to tarrytown (my first time there) to see her at their historic music hall. this was the fourth time i've seen her and probably most intimate. i haven't seen her solo like that since the first time i saw her opening for rilo kiley. just her and her guitar.

there were bits of stand-up like banter with the audience. many of the songs, mostly from the reminder and metals, were stripped down and slowed down. sing alongs were evoked for old favs "sealion" and "1 2 3 4." what set it apart was a mini-reunion with former bandmate (and ex) kevin drew, who just released a solo effort darlings. i was hoping they would duet on the broken social scene classic "lover's spit." they did.  :) i'm one happy gal. now if these indie rock darlings could get back together and rekindle their love for each other. sigh!
