so more like 3.75 stars. i love how durga’s prose is poetic and casual at the same time, peppered with pop cultural references that pique my interest, but her words not mine. “sentences begin to float off the page and my focus becomes unfaithful, and the book starts to flop like a fainted body.” it’s a stream of conscious type of writing that can soar and sometimes flop.
