and so it is...

okay, i'm a self-proclaimed neo-luddite. i'm not afraid of technology. i just don't want it taking over my life and the "old fashioned" way i live it. i didn't get a cell phone until 2006. when i finally did, it brought joy to most of my friends and family. i'm still happy to read books with pages and use the library to get most of them. somewhat shocking to most people. what can i say, i like the tangibility of the pages against my fingers. is it wrong not to live life constantly staring at a screen?

on a recent trip to argentina, my coworkers were shocked when i asked where i could buy stamps to send postcards. they replied, "people still do that?" i do and love receiving them along with other snail mail. however, i am also a chronic emailer.

so again, i reach a crossroads with my phone. i didn't have a smartphone and didn't necessarily need one. i use my phone simply to talk and text. more the latter. my lg neon 2 recently went out of commission, so i reverted back to the lime delight you see above. neon 1. it's on it's last legs, and my contract has been up. folks have been lauding the new iphone 5c, as a compromise. not as expensive and plastic. i went with the 4s. already looking at my iphone way too much but still figuring out smartphone stuff out. be patient.  i'm an old lady in young person's body.
