2018 mixtape invitational

when my newish coworker sam invited me to compose a mixtape of top 10 songs for 2018, i was game. mine is below and everyone else's is here. i realized others loved lykke li's album too. i felt she got shadowed by her swede sister robyn. no one had mariah, foxwarren, superorganism or max richter.

when i saw that max richter was playing bowery, i had to hop to it. he'd played at lpr a few months back and missed out. it was an interesting choice to play bowery, as richter probably plays symphony concert halls. last night the bowery felt like a recital hall. i always like it when artists play unorthodox venues. i really like church concerts. so last night's show was a treat.
