what a way to end the show. i literally was leaving my friend's in disappointment when the la la land crew went up to claim best picture, but the most bizarre and fortuitous thing happened!!! there was a mistake. warren beatty/ faye dunaway (aka bonnie and clyde) mistakenly read an incorrect envelop. moonlight wins!!! BEST OSCAR'S EVAH!

p.s. saw moonlight 3 times and each time brought new friends to witness it's quiet, yet heavy story. people who say they haven't seen it - GO!!!!!!

there hasn't been a reason for me to blog about a movie in a long time, but moonlight definitely deserves all the hype it's been getting. watching it made me think of the stylized and haunting direction of andrew haigh matched with the genesis story of the wire's omar little. seriously friends go see it.
