jolie was a delight. she started with "palmyra", which she said was dedicated to her friends in the third ward. she sang my fav "the future", which is similar in vain to the torch singer i experienced last night. jolie did not play her tribute to the sf bay, but you can hear "honey girl" on daytrotter. she did, however strum "mexico city", which is my second fav on her latest album. i'm glad to have finally experience that vocal twang and elongated verse.
