irving penn x rei kawakubo at the met

a much belated trip to the met to finally view the irving penn centennial exhibit, which i loved; and the met costume institute's installment of spring exhibition on rei kawakubo, head of comme des garcons. i think what i did not like about the kawakubo exhibit was the 2 tier layout. perhaps it was a way to disrupt the way we view fashion like rei's in characteristic way of designing clothes.
