vetiver redux

opened up the day to vetiver's "been so long' playing as i got into my first asana at kula this morning.  vet's been on my mind.  saw them again with fruit bats on tuesday and stumbled across this, which just engulfs memories of my hometown.

okay these vids just made me a little more home sick. funny what home is. shar has two.

i used to walk down to fairway in red hook when i first moved to ny, so where sharon parked was easy to identify. her dropping fort green, clinton hill and bed sty made me miss all the bk summer goodness. vincent moon captures another great musical voyeuristic treasure. looking forward to winter in ny.


then there's this precious moment between andy of vetiver and eric of fruit bats. i miss how only a short drive away from sf and you are in lovely wine country. there's something about vetiver that brings me that cozy sf bay hug. i need andy and gang to cross the pond to get me out of my funk.

sadness!

belated bad news: 12 galaxies closed. man, i found out about this music venue closing in sf from my pal dennis last night. it broke my heart namely because it was a sweet little spot in the mission to hear tunes and made me even sadder that i'm not up in the know of my hometown. i'm sorry san fran. i miss you lots, but this place called brooklyn seems to be detracting me from my always #1 love for you. i will be better i promise.

oh, 12 galaxies...i still remember that vetiver concert that started 2 hours late. it was so worth it. i miss me some frank chu. what will he do? protest the closing? he rules and makes me miss the kookiness of sf. BIG HUG to you sf.
