goodbye 496 bergen
wowser, four years sure flies by. six roommates. two subletters. escaping the fray that is the barclay's center. the nabe sure has changed. farewell to freddy's, hello to woodland. i'll miss all the subways lines, but not the crowds.

home friends
despite a change of venue and the loss of vinyl playing goodness, my friends made it out to celebrate my old arse.

first listen: best coast
love love love! realizing bethany and bob are filling that void that rilo kiley left me with. bethany has crisper lyrics this time around and production from jon brion doesn't hurt either. makes me miss home a little tho. good thing i'm getting a douse of it in a few weeks. woot!

patrick watson @ manhattan inn
closest thing to a la blogo
-theque session: patrick watson at manhattan inn. i dragged my under the weather arse to greenpoint to catch the extraordinary mr. watson. i haven't seen him in two years and did not wanna miss out on the intimate and free performance. the special performance was in celebration of his latest release "adventures in your own backyard". highly recommended! manhattan inn's backroom served as the best venue to host this great talent, with hanging plants doubling as chandeliers. patrick sang largely unmic'ed and loved played the white piano. something he has always wanted to do.
set list
adventures in your back yard
the quiet crowd
words in the fire
into giants
noisy sunday
big bird in a small cage
**encore**
the great escape (my fav)
