i had the pleasure of going up north for the day to experience a day yoga retreat at growing heart farm.  liz was my partner in crime.  despite the rain, we still toured the farm, practiced yoga and had an amazing farm-to-table dinner.

shar was lucky enough to be one of the first to inaugurate cat's new shoreditch jivamukti class at this fabulous studio.

cat has a great way of blending practice with holistic thinking for mind and body. last night's theme was the past and focusing on the present. i could use some work on that. she also loves to super stretch me. i'm feeling it today. if you wanna feel the burn, here are dets on the class.

hipster yoga with janet stone at kula

sorry to miss event: janet stone at kula march 20. shar took janet's class at yoga tree back when i resided in sf. of all the days janet decides to hit up kula, i'll be back in sf for young and kenneth's wedding. it's going to be epic. for those of you in new york next saturday, get your bootie to kula. you won't be sorry.

wish i was there

reason to be green with envy: kulis returning from wunderlust. shar didn't have the bank to fund the dream excursion to tahoe for the two most favorite things in her life - indie rock and yoga. instead i will have to hear about it from all those privileged enough to attend and read about it in the times. yay me!

lululemon hits brooklyn

pleasant addition to my hood: lululemon brooklyn showroom. i passed by this in progress store front a few days ago. too bad i won't be here for the grand opening. i got my last yoga mat for free at the grand opening of the sf union square store on grant street. sadly, that one has seen better days. i've almost grounded a hole all the way through it. the mat was meh, but i can't complain too much since it was free. shar's got her eye on the recycled jade mat named appropriately "encore". it's been taunting me to buy it at kula.

lee pace

celebrity sighting of the day: lee pace (#13). again, with most of my celeb sightings, i wasn't sure it was him until my fellow yogi asked me if it was him too. i was working at kula doing my thing. he looked older than i was expecting, but maybe it was because he came out all sweaty. he asked where to put his mat and i directed him to the shoot. ended up getting his sweat on my clean hands as i was spraying it down. he was more top of mind since i've been rewatching my wonderfalls dvds and i recently saw the fall. sad to hear the piemaker will not be returning on pushing daisies.

fabulous feats

yoga accomplishment of yesterday: handstand. okay, it was a handstand with wall assistance, but still a HANDSTAND. crazy!?!?!? i got such a yoga high from that. inversions = awesome! this is an illustration of me in a handstand and me falling.
must tickets acquired: she & him @ hiro, thanks to the wonderful sun twins. live at the box office and ticketmaster action. never has their wonder twin powers worked better. :)
